Meeting of the City Council

Next week, the municipal council will meet in public session. The Committee for Finance and Investments will also meet on the same day immediately beforehand.

The Committee on Finance and Investments will meet on Thursday, May 28, starting at 3:15 p.m. at City Hall, Schlossplatz 6, in Room 22. The meeting will address the following topics: “Wiesbaden on Ice 2026/2027,” “Budget Principles for 2026 and Beyond,” “Fluxus School Interim Mülhausener (Zaberner) Street – Additional Costs,” “Policy Decision on Approvals Pursuant to Section 36a of the Building Code in the State Capital of Wiesbaden,” and “Future Handling of the Allocation Starting in 2026.” 

The City Council will then convene on Thursday, May 28, starting at 4 p.m. at City Hall, Schlossplatz 6, in the City Council Chamber. The agenda includes, among other items, the topics “Consistently advancing the digitization of the administration – avoiding duplicate data entry and enhancing citizen-friendliness,” “Action plan to strengthen the safety and visibility of queer people in Wiesbaden,” “Establishment of a steering committee to prioritize urban planning projects,” “Reaching a fundamental decision on the tram,” “Home game for Wiesbaden: Bringing the ball of sports back,” “Participation of the state capital Wiesbaden in the Körber Foundation’s ‘Respect in the Council’ project,” and “Roadmap for digital transformation and modern administration, as of 2026.”
