Open day at the "Belle Wi" sample exhibition
The "Belle Wi" showroom is celebrating its tenth anniversary and is holding an open day at Föhrer Straße 74 on Friday, May 29, from 1 pm to 6 pm to mark the occasion. Visitors can expect a varied programme covering all aspects of mobility, safety, digitalization and barrier-free living.
An obstacle course allows participants to test their dexterity using wheelchairs and Bobby Cars. A walker training session demonstrates how to use a walker effectively. The “Safety Advisors for Seniors” provide information on the grandchild scam, shock calls, and protection against fake police officers, while the Digital Guides assist with questions about smartphones and related devices. Additionally, the “Supplementary Independent Participation Counseling” service offers answers regarding inclusion and rehabilitation, and the “Counseling Center for Independent Living in Old Age” will also be on site. The “Zukunftswerk” will be stopping by with its cargo bike and bringing an exciting AI cube. In addition, two short presentations will take place, during which financing options will also be explained: “Up and Down the Stairs: Navigating Steps Safely and Comfortably” (4 p.m.) and “A Bathroom for All Generations” (5 p.m.). Admission is free; registration is not required.
The “Belle Wi” model exhibition by the Office for Social Work showcases practical solutions for designing comfortable and barrier-free homes—from assistive devices and technical support systems to renovation measures in the bathroom and kitchen.
