Further closure of the Rhönstraße
Due to civil engineering work to renovate the sewer, the carriageway of Rhönstraße between Josef-Brix-Straße and Drususstraße will continue to be fully closed to vehicle and bicycle traffic.
Since construction began, access to Am Kupferberg has been possible only from Theodor-Heuss-Ring. Construction is expected to continue until the end of July 2026.
Pedestrians can use their usual routes. The city asks for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions caused by the work.
The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewers. That is why there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map highlighting selected projects is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen (opens in a new tab). If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information on detours at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without it, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to more severe traffic disruptions.
