Road Resurfacing: Closure of Biebricher Allee
Due to road damage, the state capital of Wiesbaden must carry out road resurfacing work on Biebricher Allee heading out of town between Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring and Am Landeshaus. The work will require a complete closure of the affected section of the road.
Due to heavy traffic during the week, the Civil Engineering and Surveying Office has decided to have the work carried out on the weekend and at night. The work and the associated full road closure will begin on Friday, October 23, at 8:00 p.m. and are expected to end on Saturday, October 24, around 8:00 p.m. Road markings will be applied on Sunday, October 25, while traffic continues to flow. Delays in the start and end dates of construction due to weather conditions cannot be ruled out.
To minimize disruption to traffic heading out of the city despite the full closure, a detour will be set up via Mainzer Straße and Schiersteiner Straße. Road users are asked to follow the posted detour signs.
There are more than 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden each year. A map showing selected projects is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen (opens in a new tab). If bus routes are affected by the construction project, ESWE Verkehr will provide information about the corresponding bus detours at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab).
