Closure of Adolfsallee
Adolfsallee between Kaiser-Friedrich-Ring and the area around Matthias-Claudius-Straße, as well as the area around Untere-Matthias-Claudius-Straße, will be completely closed from Monday, October 26, until, tentatively, Thursday, December 31. This is due to sewer and water main replacement work being carried out on behalf of the Waste Management Services of the State Capital of Wiesbaden (ELW).
The closure also affects bicycle traffic. Pedestrians can use the sidewalk. The city asks for your understanding for the traffic obstructions associated with the work.
The city regularly renews roads, pipes and sewers. This is why there are around 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map with selected measures is available at wiesbaden.de/baustellen (opens in a new tab). If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr provides information about detour at eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All the work is an investment in the future. Without the work, sooner or later there would be major damage and therefore greater traffic disruption.
