Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

Closure of Zimmermannstraße in Westend

Zimmermannstraße will be completely closed in the area of house number 10 from Monday, October 26, until, tentatively, Wednesday, March 31, 2027. This also affects the sidewalk in front of house number 10, which will then be closed to pedestrians. The one-way traffic regulation will be suspended for affected residents. The reason for this is the installation of a construction crane for the renovation of a house roof.

The closure also affects bicycle traffic. Pedestrians can use their usual routes, with the exception of the restriction in front of house number 10 on Zimmermannstraße. The city asks for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions caused by the construction work.

The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewers. As a result, there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map showing selected projects is available at www.wiesbaden.de/baustellen. (opens in a new tab) If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr provides information on detours at www.eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without these projects, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to even more severe traffic disruptions.
