Willy-Brandt-Allee: No-Through Traffic Rule Back in Effect
Willy-Brandt-Allee in the Europaviertel is once again closed to through traffic. Only public buses, taxis, and cyclists are permitted to use the street. The city police will step up enforcement of the no-through traffic restriction.
The reason for the return to the previous arrangement is the completion of construction work on Waldstraße between Schiersteiner Straße and Holzstraße/Homburger Straße. During the approximately two-year construction period, the city had temporarily opened Willy-Brandt-Allee, which is normally closed to cars. This allowed residents to continue accessing their homes and relieved traffic on the detour routes.
