"Cloud X Summit by STACKIT 2026" Brings the European Technology Industry to Wiesbaden
On Thursday, September 17, the RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC) will become the gathering place for the German and European technology industries. The “Cloud X Summit by STACKIT” will bring together specialists and executives from business, IT, and development, as well as experts in the fields of digital transformation and cloud technology. The event will focus on cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital independence.
The event will focus on the question of how companies can operate their data and digital applications securely, independently, and in accordance with European standards in the future. This also involves the concept of “digital sovereignty.” Specifically, this means that companies should, as far as possible, be able to determine for themselves where their data is stored, who can access it, and on which technology providers they depend.
“Wiesbaden is a strong business hub in the heart of the Frankfurt-Rhine-Main metropolitan region, with direct access to the international airport. The fact that specialists and executives from one of Europe’s most dynamic industries of the future are gathering here sends a strong signal for our city and the region. Topics such as digitalization, artificial intelligence, and secure digital infrastructures have long been influencing nearly every sector of our economy. Events like the Cloud X Summit bring together companies, expertise, and new ideas while simultaneously raising Wiesbaden’s profile as a modern and forward-looking business hub,” says Daniela Georgi, Head of the Economic Affairs Department for the State Capital of Wiesbaden.
In addition to the large-scale stage events, there are numerous smaller discussion and event formats as well as hands-on workshops. Under the theme “Xperience. Xchange. Xplore.,” the Cloud X Summit offers various opportunities to learn about new technologies, exchange knowledge, and engage in conversation with one another.
The “STACKIT Xperience Area” plays a central role. There, visitors can test new technologies. This is intended to make even complex future technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence, IT security, and cloud solutions tangible and experiential through concrete applications.
“With the Cloud X Summit, we are welcoming a high-caliber, forward-looking event to the RheinMain CongressCenter that is a perfect fit for our venue. Large-scale presentations, smaller discussion panels, exhibitions, and networking can all be brought together under one roof at the RMCC. At the same time, Wiesbaden is easily accessible from both Germany and Europe. This means the RMCC offers the ideal conditions for face-to-face interaction within an international technology community,” says Matthias Fromm, Managing Director of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH.
In 2026, the Cloud X Summit will be held in Wiesbaden for the first time. With this established event format, the RMCC provides the ideal setting for the summit’s continued development—and thus the best conditions for establishing Wiesbaden as a meeting place for the cloud and technology industry in the future as well.
The event is organized by Schwarz Digits, the IT and digital division of the Schwarz Group, which offers digital products and services that comply with Germany’s high data protection standards, such as STACKIT’s cloud services.
The Cloud X Summit also offers a dedicated program for journalists. Admission for accredited media begins on Thursday, September 17, at 9 a.m. A press conference with Bernd Wagner, CSO of Schwarz Digits, and other experts will take place at 10:45 a.m. Accreditation and interview requests from the media can be sent to pressedigits.schwarzde.
Following this, media representatives can participate in three specialized themed tours. These will focus on the further development of the STACKIT cloud, the importance of secure digital infrastructures for startups, and cloud technologies for the security and defense sectors. Journalists should register for these tours—as well as for the entire “Cloud X Summit by STACKIT 2026” event—by emailing presse@digits.schwarz.de.
