Due to the high volume of bus traffic, the bus lane was constructed using a special semi-rigid asphalt method as part of the project. This construction method is particularly well-suited for heavily trafficked areas and ensures a durable and long-lasting roadway. 

As the first construction phase nears completion, preparations for the next phase are already underway. On Tuesday, September 29, work will begin on setting up traffic control measures for the second construction phase. Following that, the planned renovation work will be carried out. Completion of the second construction phase is currently scheduled for Tuesday, October 20. 

Traffic disruptions and restrictions may occur during the construction work. The city asks all road users and residents for their understanding regarding these necessary measures. 

The phased implementation of the road surface renovation is intended to sustainably improve the traffic infrastructure on Dotzheimer Straße and ensure the long-term capacity of these heavily trafficked areas. 

Information regarding further construction progress and any necessary changes to traffic routing will be provided in a timely manner.
