Free Career Exploration Workshop During Fall Break
The Department of Economic Affairs and Employment invites young people ages 16 and older to a free, one-day career orientation workshop during the fall break on Wednesday, October 7.
Under the professional guidance of a career counselor, participants can discover their personal strengths and interests and develop concrete plans for entering the workforce.
The one-day workshop will take place on Wednesday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Heimathafen Wiesbaden, Gerichtsstraße 2.
The goal of the workshop—with the support of an experienced trainer—is to develop an individual personality profile and, based on that, identify suitable career fields as well as concrete entry opportunities into apprenticeship programs, college, or the workforce in Wiesbaden. To this end, the department maintains regular contact with companies in the region.
“Career guidance is one of the most important decisions young people make in life. Through targeted local programs, we aim to help young people recognize their strengths and prepare effectively for the transition from school to vocational training or college. In this way, we make an important contribution to securing skilled workers and the next generation of talent for Wiesbaden as a business hub,” says Daniela Georgi, Head of the Economic Affairs Department.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge and is open to young people aged 16 and older from all schools, as well as those who are unsure about pursuing higher education. An internet-enabled device (tablet/laptop) is required to participate. Space is limited.
