Students from the WMA, Karl-Heinz Schultz’s training class, invite you to a varied evening of violin music. The diverse program spans several centuries of violin repertoire. The program includes Johann Sebastian Bach’s Partitas for Solo Violin, works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Henryk Wieniawski, Béla Bartók, and Fritz Kreisler, as well as excerpts from the violin concertos by Jean Sibelius and Wieniawski.

In addition, the “Young Rising Stars” will perform as part of the concert collaboration between the Wiesbaden School of Music and Art (WMK), the WMA, and the Evangelical Martin Luther Congregation. Two successful concerts in this series already took place in February and June, featuring students from the WMK and the WMA as guests at the Heilig Geist Church. This third concert continues the collaboration and provides a stage for young musicians. The evening’s program showcases the wide stylistic range of these young talents. Luka Leikam and Yiqing Huang will perform the piano parts. The program includes, among other works, Liszt’s virtuoso concert étude “Waldesrauschen,” Chopin’s famous Ballade No. 1, as well as works by Sergei Prokofiev, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Robert Schumann. Katharina Helmerich and Veronika Svitlytska will also take center stage on the flute. Igor Palmov will accompany the young musicians on the piano with works by Eldin Burton, John Rutter, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Carl Reinecke, among others. The concert offers a glimpse into the musical education at the PreCollege and showcases the artistic development of young musicians who are already performing at a high level.
