Local councils meet
Next week, the local advisory councils of Frauenstein, Southeast, Northeast, Kastel, Medenbach, and Rheingauviertel/Hollerborn will meet. During the public meetings, residents will have the opportunity to ask questions before the agenda is addressed.

The Frauenstein Local Advisory Council will meet on Tuesday, September 8, at 6:00 p.m. in the meeting room of the fire station at Kirschblütenstraße 24. Topics to be discussed at the meeting include the implementation of the local bus route network reform at the end of the Hessian summer break in 2027, the preliminary draft of the new land-use plan for the state capital of Wiesbaden, further questions regarding municipal district heating planning, improvements to the parking situation in front of the Catholic Church, the preservation of the registration and civil status services within the local administration, the possible establishment of a children’s parliament, and funding.
The Southeast Local Advisory Council will meet on Tuesday, September 8, at 7:00 p.m., at St. Josef’s Hospital, Beethovenstraße 20, Level 0, Bernhard von Langenbeck Room. Among other topics, the local council members will discuss the resolution on the zoning plan for the Berliner Straße parking garage, the revision of the school district bylaws, the review of the namesakes for Stanleystraße and Gustav-Nachtigal-Straße due to their involvement in colonialism, the traffic situation in the Dichterviertel, the local advisory board’s involvement in bus stop measures as part of the 2027 transit network reform, and funding.
The Northeast Local Advisory Council will meet on Wednesday, September 9, at 7:00 p.m., at City Hall, Schlossplatz 6, Room 301. Items on the agenda include “Revision of the School District Bylaws,” “Shade for Playgrounds in the Northeast,” “Traffic Situation at Robert-Schumann-Schule,” “Dog Park in Thorwaldsenanlage,” “Renaming of the Dürerschule bus stop to Helene-Weber-Schule,” “Involvement of the Local Advisory Board in bus stop measures as part of the 2027 transit network reform,” and funding.
The Kastel Local Advisory Council will meet on Thursday, September 10, at 7:00 p.m., in the Kastel/Kostheim Local Administration building, St. Veiter Platz 1, in the meeting room. Among other things, the meeting will address the implementation of the route network reform for local bus service at the end of the Hessian summer break in 2027, the handling of Kurt-Hebach-Straße and Gottfried-Dörr-Straße (decision to be made following public discussion), as well as the topics “Crane Safety,” “The Future of the Joint Kastel/Kostheim Local Administration: Securing Local Jobs and Citizen Services,” and “Review of Locations for an Additional Rhine Crossing.”
The Medenbach Local Advisory Council will meet on Thursday, September 10, at 7:00 p.m., in the Medenbach Community Center, Am Sportfeld, in the community room. Topics to be discussed include “Preventing the Closure of Local Administrative Offices,” “Renovation of the Staircase on Waldblickstraße – Münzenberg,” and funding.
The Rheingauviertel/Hollerborn Local Advisory Council will meet on Thursday, September 10, at 7:00 p.m., in the event hall of the Hilde-Müller-Haus, Wallufer Platz 2. The local council members will discuss, among other things, the presentation by the Children’s Parliament, possible uses for the “park” at the Old Signal House/Casa Holzstraße/Homburger Straße/Carla-Henius-Straße, the presentation of the results of the “Auf die Plätze los” project for the Rheingauviertel, and measures regarding bus stops as part of the 2027 transit network reform.
