Repair café with sewing station in the Umweltladen
The Repair Café on Tour will once again be visiting the Umweltladen, located at Luisenstraße 19, on Saturday, September 26.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., experienced volunteers will use screwdrivers and soldering irons to give broken electronic devices and children’s toys a new lease on life.
You can also bring in clothing and repair it yourself with guidance. For minor damage such as missing buttons, small holes, or come-undone seams, assistance is available so you can fix the garments yourself.
Items in need of repair can be dropped off at the environmental store by 11:30 a.m. and picked up again by 2:00 p.m.
The Repair Café aims to extend the lifespan of consumer goods and conserve resources. This initiative not only contributes to environmental protection but also supports low-income households, for whom repairs or new purchases often pose a financial hurdle.
