Closure of Höchster Straße in Biebrich
To upgrade the existing water network structure and meet the increasing demand for drinking water in the greater Biebrich area, further civil engineering work is required in Höchster Strasse.
Höchster Straße between house numbers 2 and 6 is expected to remain completely closed to vehicle traffic until Friday, November 20. The closure also applies to cyclists.
On Kasteler Straße, just before the intersection with Biebricher Allee in the westbound direction, the right-turn lane onto Biebricher Allee also remains closed. The sidewalk is also closed in this area. Pedestrians must cross to the other side of the street; this closure also affects cyclists.
The city asks for your understanding regarding the traffic disruptions associated with the work.
The city regularly renovates roads, utility lines, and sewers. As a result, there are approximately 5,000 construction sites in Wiesbaden every year. A map showing selected projects is available at www.wiesbaden.de/baustellen. (opens in a new tab) If buses are affected, ESWE Verkehr will provide information on detours at www.eswe-verkehr.de (opens in a new tab). All of this work is an investment in the future. Without these projects, major damage would occur sooner or later, leading to even more severe traffic disruptions.
