Aukammtal Thermal Spa Reopens

The Aukammtal Thermal Baths will reopen on Monday, September 21. Following the annual deep cleaning as well as extensive maintenance and renovation work in the bathing area, the thermal spa is once again available to guests. At the same time, the completely redesigned sauna area is reopening after an extended renovation period.

As part of the extensive renovation work in the sauna area, complex demolition work was also required in the basement. Due to moisture detected in the building structure, the waterproofing plan had to be revised. These measures were key components of the comprehensive structural renovation of the sauna area.

The new sauna concept combines modernity, brightness, and accessibility, creating a contemporary atmosphere for rest and relaxation. Both aesthetic and functional aspects were taken into account during the redesign.

Among the special highlights of the new sauna area are a cinema sauna and a tiled-stove sauna. The ice fountain area was also redesigned and will be accessible to people with disabilities in the future.

A newly created relaxation area with a pergola provides an additional touch of comfort, inviting guests to unwind and linger. As a result, the sauna area will now offer a variety of ways to combine tranquility, warmth, and relaxation.

As early as Friday, September 25, guests can look forward to a special sauna event themed “Oktoberfest.” The Bavarian way of life will be celebrated in the sauna cabins with themed infusions. The dining area will serve Bavarian specialties to satisfy guests’ appetites.
