Medicine Made Easy: Emotional Support for Patients with Incurable Cancer

Under the title “Shaping the Journey Together—Emotional Support for Those with Incurable Cancer,” the Wiesbaden Public Health Department, in collaboration with Praxisverbund e.V., invites you to a free informational event on Wednesday, September 16, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, Schlossplatz 6. The experts speaking that evening will provide insight into their work in supporting people at the end of life.

A cancer diagnosis turns one’s life upside down. Patients and their loved ones are confronted with questions that don’t always have simple answers. The upcoming issue of “Verständliche Medizin” is dedicated to the nursing and psychological support of people with cancer, because in addition to medical treatment, emotional support and clear, understandable information are also important components of holistic care.

Speakers will include Dr. Felix Korf on the topic “Psycho-oncology—Everything Is Possible, Nothing Is Mandatory,” Isabel Eichner on “What Does Oncology Nursing Actually Involve?”, and licensed psychologist Edith Miloudi on “We Can Talk About Cancer—Psycho-Oncological Support for Incurable Cancer.”

Afterward, there will be an opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversation with the speakers. The detailed program can be found in the program flyer at www.wiesbaden.de/leben-wohnen/gesundheit/veranstaltungen/verstaendliche-medizin (opens in a new tab).
