Press release of the state capital Wiesbaden

WiBau is transitioning the first Lilienparken locations to cashless payment

The parking meters at four Lilienpark locations will switch entirely to cashless payment on Thursday, October 1. This applies to the Elsässer Platz and Luisenplatz parking garages, as well as the Elsässer Platz and Warmer Damm parking lots.

Over the course of 2027, the remaining payment kiosks in the City Parking Garage, the Mauritiusgalerie Parking Garage, and the Theater Parking Garage will also be converted.

Starting October 1, 2026, cash payments will no longer be accepted at these four locations. Customers without a Lilien-Flex card can still make cashless payments directly at the payment machines. Processing cash, as well as regularly emptying and refilling the machines, takes time and resources. The phased transition simplifies these processes and reduces the workload.

Under the umbrella brand Lilienparken, WiBau operates municipal parking garages and parking lots and ensures a recognizable brand image. In addition to its offerings for parking customers, WiBau is also continuing to refine its operational processes. The parking facilities have now fully transitioned to license plate recognition. The digital offerings have also been expanded: With Lilien-Flex, customers can already park today without having to go to a payment machine. Their parking sessions are recorded via their registered license plate and billed monthly. For more information, visit www.lilienparken.de (opens in a new tab).
