RhineMain Regional Park in Wiesbaden

The aim of the RhineMain Regional Park is to enhance and protect the landscape of the RhineMain metropolitan region for recreational purposes. This involves creating paths and places that connect cities and nature. In this way, the landscape and open spaces are made even more attractive.

The idea of developing the RhineMain Regional Park originated in the 1990s with the former Frankfurt Regional Association. Since then, more than 100 towns and municipalities have implemented over 350 projects. Wiesbaden has been part of the RhineMain Regional Park since 2007.

Over the years, a network of over 800 kilometers of trails has been created. Wiesbaden is located on two regional park routes, the "Rundroute" around Frankfurt and the "Leinpfad", which leads from Wiesbaden to the Rheingau. Along these paths, so-called experience points provide a special quality of stay in the landscape. There are already several experience points (opens in a new tab) in Wiesbaden and more are being planned.
