Reinicke, Erhard

Reinicke, Erhard

Music dramaturge

Born: 27.02.1934 in Berlin

died: 12.02.1995 in Wiesbaden

Reinicke studied theater studies in Cologne under Professor Carl Niessen (1890-1969). In the 1962/63 and 1963/64 seasons, he was assistant director of drama at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, before moving to the stages in Wilhelmshaven and Hildesheim as a dramaturge. At the Städtische Bühnen Dortmund, he became head music dramaturge, a leading position which he also held at the Wiesbaden State Theater from the 1975/76 season until his death in 1995.

As a "close assistant" to General Music Director Siegfried Köhler, he enriched the repertoire with special events that also attracted a great deal of attention outside the region, such as the "Foyer musical", the "Musical Wine Tasting", artist portraits and matinees. Thanks to his comprehensive education, enthusiasm and constant development of new ideas, he was instrumental in raising the profile of the Staatstheater.
