Leisure garden

The state capital of Wiesbaden currently leases around 1,500 areas that can be used for horticultural purposes. These are not allotment gardens as defined by the Federal Allotment Garden Act.

The garden plots are allocated exclusively to residents of the state capital of Wiesbaden according to social criteria. Priority is given to large families and applicants with a proven severe disability.

Applications are now being accepted again:

Due to very high demand, interest in municipal garden plots currently exceeds the available supply. There is therefore a waiting list with an estimated waiting time of several years. The state capital of Wiesbaden has decided to reopen the application process and continue to consider all applications.

Application

Please submit your application for a garden directly on this page. The required self-disclosure form can be found under the heading "Links and Downloads." Please check your details carefully and upload proof of severe disability, if available. The garden application will only be registered for the current calendar year.

Extension

An extension for a further year is only possible if you express your interest in the garden application between January 1 and February 28 of the following year at the latest. Please apply for an extension of your garden application by email only. It is not necessary to submit a new application. Extension requests received after this date cannot be considered. In this case, you will need to reapply for a garden plot.
