Anyone who wants to take on the guarding of third parties and property on a commercial basis needs a special permit to do so, depending on the legal form in which the guarding business is to be carried out. If you want to carry out the security business as a sole trader, you must have a permit yourself. If you choose a corporate body (GmbH, AG, UG (haftungsbeschränkt)) as the legal form, this requires a permit.
