You need a European firearms pass to take weapons and ammunition with you when traveling within countries that belong to the European Union - for example when hunting or participating in shooting competitions.

The European firearms pass only entitles you to take weapons and ammunition with you to another member state of the European Union. In Germany, it does not replace the gun ownership card. The respective firearms regulations of the host country and all countries through which you are traveling must be observed.
