You can re-register your business in person, in writing or electronically. Please use the form "Gewerbe-Ummeldung" (GewA 2).

The electronic procedure collects the same data as the personal re-registration. However, you can deviate from the form and do not have to sign it in person.

Please note that some business activities require a permit when expanding your activities. Others are subject to supervision.

• If the permit is not available at the time of re-registration, the business re-registration cannot be processed.

The office responsible for the re-registration forwards the business re-registration to other offices, such as the tax office, the employers' liability insurance association, the Chamber of Crafts or the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

The business transfer notification must be submitted immediately at the time of the change.

Please bring with you:

• Proof of identity (e.g. identity card, passport, foreign passport)
• For EU nationals who are not resident in Wiesbaden: current registration certificate from the municipality of residence
• For non-EU nationals: (electronic) residence permit + supplementary sheet + current registration certificate from the municipality of residence
• Completed business re-registration form

If a certificate is to be issued, an additional fee of EUR 8.00 must be paid.
