Vacation programs for children and young people

Through its vacation programs, the Office of Social Services ensures that children are cared for during all school breaks in Hesse, thereby providing relief for parents. In addition, the diverse cultural activities offered during the breaks give children the opportunity to gain new experiences in a wide variety of areas without the pressure to perform. The vacation program also serves as an educational opportunity outside of school, in which children participate voluntarily and, as we have observed, are always happy to return. There are activities for all interests and preferences: sports, arts and crafts, adventure education, nature and animals, media education, and gender-specific activities for girls and boys. The program booklet is distributed at all schools and is available at local government offices, Wiesbaden City Hall, the public library, and the Office for Social Work.

Families in Wiesbaden can apply for available spots on the website www.wiesbaden-Ferienprogramm.de.
