Feuerzangenbowle celebrates its premiere
The "Feuerzangenbowle" will be performed for the first time as an interactive production in the Historic Pentagon in Wiesbaden's city center.
The "Feuerzangenbowle", one of the most famous German film classics, will be brought to the Historisches Fünffeck by Theater kuenstlerhaus43 as an interactive production on three dates with the support of the City Management.
At the premiere on October 16, as well as on October 17 and 23, acting, music, singing and punch will transform Wiesbaden's city centre into a lively "school" in which the audience itself becomes "pupils". The event is rounded off by the Wiesbaden Boys' Choir under the direction of Roman Twardy.
Visitors experience the play at special locations in the city center: in the noble inner courtyard of the Hotel Schwarzer Bock, in the princely hall of the Ministry of Justice and in the glamorous inner courtyard of the Palasthotel.
A part of the story is played out at each location - accompanied by music with songs from the turn of the century and historical costumes. The guests are directly involved in the scenic events. Those who wish may also appear in a tailcoat, knickerbockers or top hat - "This is of course not a requirement," the organizers say.
A free shuttle service with the Wiesbaden tourist train THermine and Lili connects the venues. This turns Wiesbaden's city center into a stage - and the audience itself becomes part of the story.

Movie classics
The "Feuerzangenbowle" looks back on 92 years of history in 2025. At its heart is the successful writer Dr. Johannes Pfeiffer, who dreams himself back to his school days - and thus experiences a turbulent adventure full of wit, youthful lightness and unforgettable teacher characters. Since the film version with Heinz Rühmann, the story has become a cult classic, making generations laugh and awakening nostalgic memories.
