WI:START—The Crafts Scholarship supports craftspeople in bringing their business ideas to life by providing 1,000 euros per month for a period of twelve months. The application deadline is November 15, 2026.
The Crafts Scholarship
WI:START - The Crafts Scholarship is intended for craftspeople who have brought an extraordinary idea to life in Wiesbaden. The business must have been founded or taken over no more than 3 years ago.
Selection Criteria (at least one must be met)
- Future-Oriented
Approach: New Technologies, Digital Processes, Innovative Approaches
- Social Value
: Social or cultural impact, closing gaps in access to services
- New Pathways in Careers and Training
: Integration of disadvantaged skilled workers and young professionals into the labor market
- Sustainability
: Regional supply chains, circular economy, and more
Selection procedure
After an initial screening, suitable candidates will be invited to present their business ideas in person to a panel of judges in Wiesbaden.
