Promotion of young talent
Promoting young talent in Wiesbaden.

The Department of Economics and Employment supports companies in Wiesbaden in finding and recruiting young talent.

We offer schools, young people and parents various support options and event formats for securing young talent and career guidance.

The event series "Job in Echt" takes place several times a year at different companies in Wiesbaden. "Job in Echt" enables a direct exchange between companies and young talent. On this taster day, young people gain an initial insight into the company and find out about training opportunities on site.

During the Easter and fall vacations, the interactive career orientation workshop offers young people the chance to develop their individual personality profile. Under the guidance of a professional coach, the young people receive orientation and inspiration with regard to specific entry opportunities in training, studies and working life. Other event formats such as the annual internship week offer a good opportunity for young people and companies to get to know each other.

In addition, the Department of Economic Affairs and Employment supports the Lernwerkstatt project, which provides pupils in grades 7 to 10 at four Wiesbaden schools with practical insights into different professions in two lessons per week. The aim of the project is to arouse interest in a skilled trade and to make it easier for young people to enter training and professional and working life.
