For many years now, Wiesbaden has participated in the state-wide internship week during the summer break.

During Internship Week, students have the opportunity to get to know various companies. To do this, they participate in different internships, each lasting just one day. Over the course of the entire event, they can complete up to five of these internships. The internship days can—but do not have to—take place within a single week.

This allows students to gain a better understanding of specific professions and learn more about career fields they may not have been familiar with before. They work directly with the relevant staff and are given the chance to take on many different tasks themselves.

The internship days therefore help students figure out which career suits them best and what training or study options are available. They are a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and strengthen their career orientation. In this way, students gain a better understanding of the working world and can more accurately assess their strengths and interests. Additionally, they discover early on which direction they would like to take after high school.

Companies benefit from the internship days by identifying talent early on and getting to know potential future apprentices. Furthermore, the internship days allow them to position themselves as attractive employers and thus secure skilled workers for the long term. Participation in such projects also strengthens valuable networks and fosters collaboration.

To participate in the internship week, both companies and students register for free on the platform. After registering, prospective interns are automatically matched with suitable companies based on their interests. Registration and matching are very simple and take very little time.
