Industry Advisory Board
The Industrial Advisory Board represents the interests of industrial companies in Wiesbaden vis-à-vis the Wiesbaden public and politicians.
The Wiesbaden Industry Advisory Board currently represents the management teams of 17 Wiesbaden-based industrial companies of various sizes and from various sectors. They work closely and cooperatively with the institutions that are also members: the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the District Craftsmen's Association, RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and Fresenius University of Applied Sciences, the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) and the Mining, Chemical and Energy Industrial Union (IG BCE), as well as the Association of Hessian Business Associations (Vereinigung hessischer Unternehmerverbände e.V.). – Wiesbaden-Rheingau-Taunus office. The chair is held by the head of the economic affairs department. The Department of Economic Affairs and Employment coordinates the Industry Advisory Council as a "hub."
All members are committed to strengthening Wiesbaden as an industrial location as a panel of experts. Their aim is to highlight the importance of industry for Wiesbaden in a constructive dialogue with city politicians and to improve the framework conditions at the location.
The focus is primarily on local urban policy issues that have an impact on industry – for example, energy, transport, mobility, land use designation, and reducing bureaucracy.
