Industry Advisory Board
The Industrial Advisory Board represents the interests of industrial companies in Wiesbaden vis-à-vis the Wiesbaden public and politicians.
The management of 18 Wiesbaden-based industrial companies of various sizes and sectors are currently represented on the Wiesbaden Industrial Advisory Board. They work closely and in partnership with the institutions that are also members: the Wiesbaden Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Crafts, the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences, the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) and the Mining, Chemical and Energy Industrial Union (IG BCE) as well as the Association of Hessian Business Associations - Wiesbaden-Rheingau-Taunus branch. It is chaired by the Head of Economic Affairs. The Department of Economics and Employment coordinates the Industry Advisory Board as a "hub".
All members are committed to strengthening Wiesbaden as an industrial location. They are very keen to engage in constructive dialog with city policymakers to highlight the importance of industry for Wiesbaden and to improve the general conditions at the location.
The focus is primarily on local city policy issues with an impact on industry - for example energy, transport, mobility, zoning or reducing bureaucracy.
