Palasthotel

Kranzplatz

The former Palasthotel was built between 1903 and 1905 in the place of two old bath houses.

During excavation work, the builders came across the remains of a Roman thermal bath which proved that people were bathing in hot water here as early as in Roman times.

The building quickly became one of Wiesbaden's largest hotels which in its heyday lodged numerous famous personalities.

Since its reconstruction in 1976/77 it has been used for public housing, definitely one of the most unusual new uses for a grand hotel.
