Accessibility at the European Youth Circus
The European Youth Circus strives to be as accessible as possible for everyone. On this page you will find information on accessibility during the festival.
Since the European Youth Circus is a circus arts festival, no language skills are required. Circus arts involve performing feats with the body—such as balancing, climbing, jumping, or throwing objects through the air.
A promotional video with key information about the festival in German Sign Language will be available shortly.

Tickets
Advance ticket sales begin on August 1, 2026.
Tickets are available at www.frankfurtticket.de or at the Tourist Information Office in Wiesbaden (Marktplatz 1, 65183 Wiesbaden).
People with disabilities (with a GdB of 70 or higher) receive reduced-price admission.
Companions are admitted free of charge.

Toilets
In the awning, there is a container with an accessible restroom from TOI TOI & DIXI.
The toilet door is one meter wide. The clearance height under the sink is 66 cm, and the top edge of the sink is 75 cm high. The distance from behind the sink to the toilet and to the wall behind the sink is 1.5 meters.
Arrival
Parking spaces for people with disabilities are available in the Markt parking garage beneath the Dern'sches Gelände. Access is via Bahnhofstraße.
To get there by public transportation, take it to the “Dern’sches Gelände” stop. From there, the route is at ground level across the Dern’sches Gelände, or—if coming from the direction of the train station—across at a traffic light with a lowered curb and then across the Dern’sches Gelände.

Wheelchair spaces
A certain number of wheelchair-accessible seats are available at every performance. These seats are located in the boxes along the edge of the ring. If you need one, please notify us in advance by email at european.youth.circuswiesbadende.

Professional audio description will be provided for the following performances:

Requirements for the audience during the shows
Please speak quietly and remain seated if possible. You may stand up if necessary.
After about an hour, there will be a 20- to 30-minute break. Food and drinks are available for purchase in the tent. The restrooms are also located there.
Sensory stimuli
People or objects in the air. Auditory and/or visual stimuli may be overwhelming.
Lighting: During the shows, there are changes in lighting, which may be colored, moving, and/or flashing.
Sound and noise: Loud music and loud sound effects.
