Wiesbaden Literature Days concept

The "Wiesbaden Literature Days" have been held in the Hessian state capital since 1986 and have developed into a cultural highlight.

The concept of the Wiesbaden Literature Days, which have been held every two years since 1993, is that an author conceives an artistic program and, as host, accompanies and helps to shape the events for a week.

In the past, the programs have included readings as well as films, concerts, discussions, staged readings and exhibitions. While some hosts of the Literature Days pursue a theme or motif, others put together their program in a freely associative manner with their own signature style.

The result is always a personal insight into the networks of literature, art, theater and music of the respective host or hostess and a unique week of literature in the truest sense of the word.
