Villa Clementine House of Literature
Since 2002, literary exchange in Wiesbaden has found a stylish venue in the Literaturhaus Villa Clementine - an institution of the Cultural Office - where diverse and sophisticated readings and discussions take place. Contemporary literature is at the heart of the program.
In the salons of Villa Clementine, a thoughtfully curated program invites visitors to discover new releases and engage in discussions on socio-political topics. Connections are often made with other art forms: performances, comic book readings, poetry nights, and musical readings all focus on artistic enjoyment. Workshops, shared reading sessions, and the popular reading parties foster exchange among literature enthusiasts. The “Junge Literaturhaus” introduces young audiences to the world of books. International authors are also regular guests. Here, literature can be experienced in all its facets.

Office hours: Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday closed
Tickets for the auditorium are available in advance from Tourist Info and online from the Literaturhaus homepage via Eventim. The box office opens 45 minutes before the start of the event.
The Literaturhauscafé is not open all day and is only open occasionally during readings, festivals or special Literaturhaus events as well as on Open Saturday & Sunday from 1-6 pm.
