Diverse, dynamic, motivating - Wiesbaden dances
Every two years, the Wiesbaden Department of Culture organizes the popular "Wiesbaden tanzt" festival together with Wiesbaden dance schools and artists. The next festival edition will take place in 2027.
The festival invites all interested parties to discover the Wiesbaden dance scene. With a wide range of hands-on activities in Wiesbaden dance schools, you can shake a leg, learn steps and actively immerse yourself in dance. Performances invite you to watch and linger.
A colorful festival program 2025
In three containers, on the station forecourt, on Kranzplatz and in Kirchgasse, visitors could find out more about the Wiesbaden dance collective "Dance Nexus" and the festival program, view an exhibition of dance photos or dance at the Tik-Tok station. Those who still hadn't had enough of dance could attend the panel discussions or dance into the evening at the parties. School collaborations and community dance projects rounded off the program and created low-threshold access as a movement and art form.

Audio description 2025
For the first time in 2025, various performances at Wiesbaden tanzt were accompanied by audio description. This is a verbal description of what is happening on stage. This is aimed at visually impaired people.
Dance survey 2025
As part of "Wiesbaden tanzt 2025," the Cultural Affairs Office, in collaboration with Dance Nexus, conducted a survey on the visibility and awareness of the independent dance scene in Wiesbaden. The results of the study can be found in the "Documents" section.
