Flames of hope
On May 15, the documentary "Flames of Hope - the dark fate of the four-legged friends" celebrates its premiere at the Murnau Filmtheater at 8 pm.
Homeless animals, unscrupulous trade and people who give everything to save them. "Flames of Hope" is an emotionally stirring documentary about suffering, commitment and the fight for a better future. Personal fates are linked with global challenges - from the illegal puppy trade to the people who stand up for affected animals on a daily basis. The central question is: breeding or adoption? Experts provide touching and poignant answers.
The 45-minute documentary will be followed by a high-profile panel discussion with leading experts in animal welfare:
- Birgitt Thiesmann (FOUR PAWS) - one of the most important voices in the fight against the illegal puppy trade
- Dr. Kirsten Tönnies - veterinarian with many years of commitment to animal welfare abroad
- Christian Ehrlich - animal filmmaker, author and presenter
- Moderation: Ulla Atzert, journalist and author, known for her work at Hessischer Rundfunk
The guests will discuss the topics addressed in the film, provide insights into their work - and will be available to answer questions from the audience.
