Garden formats in Freudenberg Castle Park

Freudenberg Castle is offering two new garden formats: At "GartenTaten", Bernhard Stichlmair takes guests to work in Freudenberg Park on Fridays; participation is free of charge. The Philosophical Garden Workshop offers a more in-depth discussion.

BLook into the garden of Freudenberg Castle

Bernhard Stichlmair has been working at the Erfahrungsfeld Landschaft for 25 years. Under his care, barren land has been transformed into a flourishing landscape. He has a vision for the castle park and, together with the entire park team, protects, maintains, and cultivates the woods and meadows. He is well known to Freudenberg guests from public or private tours, from mowing in the morning dew, pruning fruit trees, or making compost. His wealth of knowledge is vast, and his enthusiasm and love for his work are contagious. Now guests can experience this enthusiasm in two new formats.

GartenTaten - Open garden workshop to get you in the mood for the weekend

Work together in the garden with joy and enthusiasm. In harmony with the seasons, the earth, the plants, and all the other creatures of the garden. And eventually, guests will realize: I have helped create the garden’s health, vitality, diversity, and beauty.

Dates: May 29, June 19, August 7, August 21, September 4, September 18, October 2 & October 16, from 3 to 6 p.m. each day

Philosophical garden workshop

The Philosophical Garden Workshop draws on the atmosphere of the garden, the changing seasons, and the evening hours to foster individual perception, shared reflections, and unexpected shifts in thought. The garden, the gardener, and the participants ensure that the ground of perception and insight is thoroughly cultivated, so that our work bears the fruit of tasty and nourishing (self-)discovery. There will also be good food and drink to enjoy.

Dates: June 6, August 15, and September 12, at 6 p.m. each day
