From May to October 2026, a special place for ideas, exchange, and creative projects will take shape in the heart of downtown Wiesbaden: the WerkRaum Wiesbaden. As part of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026, the former Sportscheck store is being transformed into an inspiring hub for design and social dialogue. Exhibitions, workshops, and events will bring together creative minds, students, and the wider community. Initiated by strong partners from the fields of culture, architecture, and higher education, the WerkRaum offers space for new perspectives and genuine participation. We are looking for volunteers who would like to support us on a voluntary basis.

Help shape the future with us—openly, creatively, and together.

Responsibilities:
You’ll engage with WerkRaum visitors, explain the hands-on stations, and be available to answer questions. As a communicator, you’ll provide guidance at various stations, invite participation, and encourage visitors to interact with the exhibition. In addition, you’ll work with security to keep an eye on the exhibition spaces, the exhibits, and the activities taking place.

Qualifications: A passion for art education, a love of communication, and an open-minded attitude; willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Your Responsibilities: The exhibition at WerkRaum is constantly changing. As a volunteer, you’ll be available on a daily basis to assist with the setup and takedown, helping to ensure the exhibitions are presented in a professional and appealing manner. Tools will be provided; please bring your own work clothes.

Qualifications: Manual dexterity, skills and experience with tools, reliability, and a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends

Your Responsibilities: In the open studio, visitors to the WerkRaum can get creative on their own and work on their projects with or without guidance. Your role is to provide volunteer assistance and suggestions as needed, distribute the necessary materials, and support visitors in bringing their creative ideas to life. The open studio is open to people of all ages; however, parents accompanying minors are responsible for supervising them.

Qualifications: Creativity and a passion for working with people, enthusiasm for art education, an extended police clearance certificate, and a willingness to work on Saturdays
