Favorite Piece for September
Every month, visitors to "sam – Stadtmuseum am Markt" vote for their favorite item from the collections at a multimedia station. In September 2026, a beer bottle was chosen.

The Germania Brewery Company of Wiesbaden operated from 1888 to 1970 on Mainzer Straße in Wiesbaden.
The original Wiesbaden Brewery Company changed its name in 1899 and became a corporation.
During World War II, the brewery suffered bomb damage but was rebuilt.
In 1972, Frankfurt-based Henninger-Bräu acquired a majority stake. A year later, operations in Wiesbaden came to an end. The distinctive historic buildings were demolished in the early 1980s.
The bottle was sold at the former “Rumpelkammer” pub in Wiesbaden, located at the corner of Goebenstraße and Scharnhorststraße.
