Museum eavesdroppers explore the city museum

Presentation at the Stadtmuseum on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 3.30 pm

The project "Museumslauscher" is a joint project of hr2-kultur/Literaturland Hessen, the Sparkassenstiftung Hessen-Thüringen, the IGS Alexej von Jawlensky KulturSchule and the sam - Stadtmuseum am Markt. It is also supported by the Nassauische Sparkasse.

Pupils from class 7b are developing audio guides for listeners of the same age with the support of HR media coaches and specialist knowledge from the museum.

The pupils are actively involved in all phases of the project: from discussing the project, researching the history of the city and individual objects, creating the texts, to recording the texts and recording sounds for the audio files.

In this way, they not only learn media skills, but also a piece of their city's history. And visitors of the same age (and everyone else, of course) can be guided through the permanent exhibition using the audio guide once the project is complete.

The presentation of the project will take place on the occasion of the hr2 Hörfest on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 3.30 pm in the Marktkeller. Admission is free.
