Lecture on the laws of the art market
On Wednesday, June 4, the Museum Wiesbaden invites you to a free lecture on the laws of the art market at 7 pm.
The sculptor Angela Glajcar is exhibited worldwide. Sasa Hanten has made a name for herself on the art market as a writer, art expert and lawyer. Both careers are closely linked to Wiesbaden. Sasa Hanten worked at the Museum Wiesbaden as a young woman and learned how to compile a catalog raisonné from the museum's former chief curator, Dr. Renate Petzinger, using Eva Hesse as an example. At the same time, Petzinger was responsible for the first art-historical cataloging of Angela Glajcar's work. Now Hanten and Glajcar are on stage at the Museum Wiesbaden to present the artist's catalog raisonné.
How does the art market work? Why do you publish the catalog raisonné of a living artist? On June 4 at 7 p.m., admission free, an insight into the laws of the art market will be offered. The catalog raisonné will be available, and after the lecture, not only can questions be asked, but signing requests can also be fulfilled.
An event in cooperation with the Friends of the Museum Wiesbaden e.V.
