What more do you need than a velvety voice and the most beautiful songs by Al Green, Carole King, Van Morrison and, of course, the Beatles?
Singer-songwriter Colin Frost from Liverpool presents his musical favorites on the new CD "The Liverpool Lounge". Together with percussionist Paul Maré, the Brit has now reinterpreted his favorite songs in a very personal, relaxed and casual acoustic sound.
With just guitar, percussion and his wonderful voice, Colin Frost once again delights his audience and fans.
The duo Colin Frost & Paul Maré with their live program "The Liverpool Lounge" suits every mood and event. Quiet and unobtrusive, then again driving and spirited, the music of the English-German duo is great for leaning back and listening or entertaining. The unique combination of cool vocals, acoustic guitar and minimalist percussion is the ideal music for bars, wine festivals and celebrations; in the background or as a show act.
Like the four mushroom heads, British singer Colin Frost comes from Liverpool and lived just around the corner from Paul McCartney and John Lennon. He learned to play the guitar at an early age and rehearsed songs from the radio.
He later toured the world with well-known UK artists and also earned his living as a street musician. Many Wiesbaden residents know him from the pedestrian zone of his current hometown, where he still enjoys performing his favorite songs.
The singer is accompanied by Paul Maré on the cajon and you will be amazed at the hot rhythms he gets out of such a simple wooden box. The cajon is played with the hands and sounds amazingly similar to a drum kit. Sizzle boards, finger shakers and other unusual drum instruments are also played. Sometimes rocking, sometimes swinging, the percussionist drives the beat forward and ensures that the music not only gets into your heart, but also into your legs.
Colin Frost puts you in a good mood. Listening to him is simply fun and spreads a pleasant attitude towards life. Colin Frost accompanies himself very sensitively on the acoustic guitar and you can feel the jazzy touch of the Brit. When he plays the Beatles, it always sounds a little more relaxed, a little smoother than the originals. And when he then presents some soul classics, it doesn't sound like yesterday and oldies at all. Rather, Colin Frost hits the current trend of chilled lounge music with the songs of the Beatles and their contemporaries. The Liverpool singer inspires his audience with his authentic and likeable personality.
