Project: Inclusion hub (i.hub) - living with added value

i.hub is more than just a living concept. It is a place where humanity and innovation go hand in hand. Here we promote integration and community for a better life together.

Brief description

In light of the challenges posed by social and demographic change, the "i.hub" inclusion hub is setting new standards for neighborhood development: As a catalyst for social change, this innovative, modular concept combines affordable housing, work, and care—to create a strong neighborhood and foster genuine participation for all.

The project is thus more than just an innovative housing model—it is a social catalyst with the potential to sustainably transform and strengthen entire neighborhoods. With its approach to communal, intergenerational, and inclusive living based on the principles of universal design, i.hub creates genuine added value for all stakeholders: residents, the municipality, social service providers, housing associations, and the neighborhood.

The project applicants for the WDC 2026 are affected parents with professional expertise in architecture, public relations, and transportation planning. Together, we aim to implement the concept of inclusive living to create a holistic solution that others in similar situations can also utilize or replicate.

Dates/period

We are currently in the process of specifying our location in Wiesbaden and gaining further supporters for our concept. We are therefore planning to found an association in 2026 in order to implement the i.hub concept at a specific location in the state capital of Wiesbaden. This also includes the preparation and participation in a possible concept procedure. One conceivable implementation for the concept is, for example, the Kastel-Housing quarter in Wiesbadener Straße, Mainz-Kastel. Corresponding discussions are already underway.

Venue(s)

There is no official venue, as this is a new type of housing concept to be realized. We are happy to present our project and its status to interested parties at official WDC or specialist events.
