Inclusive cultural offerings - visually impaired people
Information about cultural events for visually impaired people.
With regard to accessible cultural offerings for blind and visually impaired people, the Wiesbaden Cultural Office maintains close contact with the Wiesbaden branch of the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, as well as with the local chapter of the Pro Retina e. V. association. Together, we are working to make Wiesbaden’s cultural offerings more accessible to visually impaired people. This applies both to the physical accessibility of our cultural facilities and to the accessibility of their content. For example, the Caligari Cinema is fully accessible and features films with audio description in its program. The European Youth Circus Festival will also be made accessible again in 2026 with live audio description for blind and visually impaired audiences.
Here we provide information about our offerings.
