Archive festival in the city archive

The Wiesbaden City Archive, together with the Kunstarche e.V. and the Verein zur Förderung des Stadtarchivs e.V., invites you to this year's archive festival on Friday, April 17, starting at 4 pm.

Invitation card Archive Festival 2026
This year's archive festival will take place on April 17.

The Wiesbaden City Archives, the Association for the Promotion of the Wiesbaden City Archives, and Kunstarche Wiesbaden cordially invite you to the 2026 Archives Festival.

The City Archives is using this festival as an opportunity to present its new storage facilities to the public following the renovation. Together with its partners, it invites you to join us on Friday, April 17, 2026, starting at 4 p.m., at Im Rad 42, 65197 Wiesbaden.

In addition to guided tours of the new facilities and the current exhibition at the Kunstarche, the band XHOL CARAVAN will provide musical entertainment for the evening. XHOL CARAVAN are legends of Krautrock—and still going strong. Since 1968, they have been breaking genre boundaries with a mix of psychedelic jazz rock, improvisation, and free jazz. Today, the energy of founders Hansi Fischer & Klaus Briest meets young musicians. The result: a wild sonic journey between ecstasy, chaos, and poetic moments. Additionally, the Friends of the City Archives will introduce themselves. Feel free to browse their book table. The City Archives has also prepared a quiz. The puzzle invites you to explore the building.

We look forward to your visit!

All interested parties are asked to register by April 12 at the email address veranstaltung-stadtarchivwiesbadende.
