City Archive Wiesbaden

The Wiesbaden City Archive is the municipal archive of the state capital of Wiesbaden and, as a department of the Cultural Office, fulfills the task of preserving Wiesbaden's historical heritage, making it accessible and communicating it comprehensively.

+++ Due to an internal event, the reading room will be closed on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. The City Archives will have limited access on that day. +++

Use of the reading room possible again without restrictions

The reading room is open as follows

  • Mondays: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Wednesdays: 9 am to 6 pm
  • Thursdays: 12 to 4 p.m.
  • Fridays: closed
