Commemoration of the Reichspogromnacht on Wiesbaden's Michelsberg.

The State Capital of Wiesbaden, the Jewish Community of Wiesbaden and the Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation Wiesbaden invite all citizens to the commemoration event on Sunday, November 9, at 7 pm. The meeting point is the memorial on Michelsberg, which was built on the site of the large synagogue destroyed in 1938.

Reichspogromnacht

Between November 7 and 10, 1938, synagogues were burning all over Germany. Those in Wiesbaden's city center and suburbs were also targeted, looted and destroyed, as were many Jewish institutions, houses and stores. Since 1954, the commemoration of the Reichspogromnacht has been held in Wiesbaden every year on November 9.
