Postal, telegraph and telephone staff

On July 28, 1955, the board of the 15th Congress of the "International of Postal, Telegraph and Telephone Workers" signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.

On the final day of the International Congress of Postal Workers' Unions, Mayor Buch and a delegation of senior City Hall officials welcomed a delegation of representatives from all five continents.

In his speech, he praised the fact that the trade unionists had not only discussed issues, but had also worked to bring the world together. Buch thanked the President of the Congress, the British trade unionist Geddes, for choosing Wiesbaden as the venue for the conference and presented him with a commemorative bowl with a picture of the Kurhaus.

The delegates expressed their thanks for the warm welcome and praised the people of Wiesbaden as excellent hosts. The President and Secretary General of the Congress then signed the register. They were followed by the German representatives Distel and Ziegler before the representatives of the other continents finally signed the Golden Book.
