The Wiesbaden City Archive - Write history!

The Wiesbaden City Archive currently employs eleven members of staff with a wide range of qualifications and specializations. Interns have the opportunity to get to know this varied workplace.

Job advertisements and vocational training

The Wiesbaden City Archive publishes its current job advertisements on the website of the Marburg Archive School and on the Wiesbaden City Administration's career portal.

From 2021, the Wiesbaden City Archive will be training media and information services specialists in the field of archives (f/m/d). All information on the training program and application procedures can be found on the information page of the Personnel Office of the City of Wiesbaden.

Internships and traineeships

Advanced students of relevant subjects, in particular history and archival science, are welcome to apply for a compulsory internship of at least six weeks at the Wiesbaden City Archive in accordance with the applicable training and examination regulations. An internship at the Wiesbaden City Archive is also possible as part of a professional archival training program. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, the allocation of traineeships and internships is based on qualifications and availability. Please submit your application with the usual documents (cover letter, CV, certificates) digitally via the email address stadtarchivwiesbadende with a lead time of at least three months.

Please understand that due to organizational and staffing restrictions, the City Archive is unable to offer long-term or annual internships and generally also no internships for school pupils.

  • Monday: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 9 am to 4 pm
  • Wednesday: 9 am to 6 pm
  • Thursday: 12 to 16 o'clock
  • Friday: closed
