City archive barrier-free

As the municipal archive of the state capital of Wiesbaden, the Wiesbaden City Archive strives to be open to all interested parties. This also includes giving everyone access to historical documents and historical education.

City Archive - Video in sign language

The Wiesbaden City Archives offers a variety of services to assist you during your visit. Our goal is to make historical records accessible to everyone. That is why the "Arcinsys" research platform is accessible to all. When visiting the archives, a separate low-stimulus room is available where documents can be viewed by appointment. The City Archives also offers assistance to visually impaired visitors during their visit. An appointment is required.

Events organized by the City Archives as part of its biannual program and educational programs at memorial sites are free of charge and can be conducted upon request with audio descriptions, in simple language, and with sign language interpretation. Service dogs are permitted. Please feel free to contact us.

The City Archives is also physically accessible. The reading room, the event area, and an accessible restroom are located at ground level and can be reached without steps. Parking spaces for people with disabilities are available in front of the main entrance.
