Cultural education
Cultural education plays a central role in personal and social development. It provides access to art, music, theater, literature and other creative forms of expression, regardless of age or social background.
There are numerous funding programs at federal, state and local level to strengthen cultural education, especially for children and young people. Programs such as "Culture makes you strong" from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research or the cultural funds of the federal states support projects that make it easier for children, young people and adults to access culture. Foundations and EU programs also offer financial support for innovative educational projects. You can download an overview at the bottom of this page. The Wiesbaden Cultural Office supports cultural projects in cooperation between Wiesbaden schools and a partner from the arts and culture through the "Cultural Education in Schools" program.
Art partners are an essential component of successful cultural education. Museums, theaters, music schools, libraries and freelance artists contribute their expertise and design workshops, projects or long-term collaborations with schools and educational institutions. Such partnerships promote creative learning and intercultural exchange and strengthen social skills. The "Art Education" page lists artists and art schools in Wiesbaden.
The combination of funding programs and strong art partnerships makes cultural education accessible to many people and creates valuable experiences that inspire for life.
